Alfred was never one to take chances. He was never one to do something in the spur of the moment. And oh god was he ever known not to want to talk to someone that he’d pretty much just fallen in love with on first sight.
So he remained seated, practically hiding behind his coffee. He took a quick peek back at the man, a small smile on his lips. Gosh, was he ever good looking! But he’d keep that to himself for the time being. He felt like a teenage girl in love with an actor or a singer—someone that she’d probably never even meet. The blond was, for lack of a better word, beautiful. His hair was wavy, long, and so so so pretty. And his eyes! They were probably the best part about him. Hell, everything about him was great.
Ugh.
He looked away again, far too concerned with the idea that the man might look back and then he’d be caught. He ran a hand through his hair, silently and mindlessly smiling to himself. Boy, was he ever getting himself in trouble. It wouldn’t be that hard to go over there and talk to him, get to know him, ask him out. But what if he didn’t like him back? What if he wasn’t even, well, gay? What if he’d just make a fool of himself? He decided then that it would probably just be best to leave it alone and not bother, too afraid of the chance of rejection to even try. He frowned and quickly finished off his drink, not taking another look back to the other as he collected himself and left the small coffee shop, feeling somewhat defeated.
Another day another broken heart.

-He raised an eyebrow- I’ll get through it flamboyantly…? -GIves a small laugh- If ya say so….-Looks at him, confused. A bit amused as well.- Is it? -Smirks a bit- Does it? What happened that made your school so ‘flamboyant’? -Takes a deep breath, scuffing his shoe on the ground- Yeah….I guess so….if seventeen is jus’ growin’ up. -Gives a rare genuine smile- Thanks.
-lets out a slightly nervous laugh, running a hand through his hair while looking away- Ah, well… -looks back to him making a slightly sour face- That’s a—uh—a story for another day! Let’s just leave it at that. -forces a smile on his face, still looking a bit uncomfortable before letting it fall- Of course seventeen is just growing up! Hell I’m like two—- -abruptly stops himself, not wanting to seem like a madman in front of the teen- T-twenty—and I’m only just starting to grow up myself!

The other day my wi-fi went out and in a fit of desperation I tried to look up how to fix it before I even realized what I was doing. Mercy me.
